Muffins with Poppy Seeds and Orange / Mooni-apelsinimuffinid


I haven't baked muffins for ages. God, how I missed the smell of fresh muffins. And you can't imagine how I missed the taste of those little cute delicious things.

Today I decided to bake muffins with poppy seeds and fresh orange juice. On the top I put my favourite white chocolate and cream cheese glaze.

I hadn't made them before, but they were just what I needed today. They aren't too sweet, but that's a positive thing. You can slightly feel the taste of orange which suits extremely well with the poppy seeds. On top of that, the glaze completes the bouquet of flavours of those muffins just fantastically.

100 g butter
1 dl sugar
2 eggs
juice of 1 orange
2,5 dl flour
1 dl wheat brans
1 dl poppy seeds
1,5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
100 g white chocolate
75 g cream cheese

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Mix soft butter with sugar. Continue mixing, add two eggs and the juice of one orange. In another bowl, mix together flour, wheat brans, poppy seeds, baking powder and salt. After that, mix together too mixtures. Then devide the dough to the cups of a muffin pan. Bake for 20 minutes. After that let them cool down.

To make the glaze, melt white chocolate and mix it with cream cheese. Add the glaze on the top of each muffin.


Ma pole nii ammu muffineid küpsetanud. Te ei kujuta ette, kuidas ma igatsesin värskete muffinite lõhna. Ja veelgi enam igatsesin ma nende maitset.

Täna tegin ma muffineid mooniseemnete ja apelsiniga. Kaunistuseks panin peale oma lemmikut- valge šokolaadi ja toorjuustu glasuuri.

Minu muffinite küpsetamisanne polnud vaatamata kuude pikkusele pausile kusagile kadunud. Suutsin ahju abiga välja võluda täitsa eeskujulikud muffinid. Neid süües on mõnusalt tunda apelsini maitset, mis sobib imehästi kokku mooniseemnetega. Ja glasuur iga muffini peal on justkui kirss tordi peal. See täiustab vapustavalt muffini maitsebuketti.

100 g võid
1 dl suhkrut
2 muna
1 apelsini mahl
2,5 dl jahu
1 dl nisukliisid
1 dl mooniseemneid
1,5 tl küpsetuspulbrit
1 tl soola
100 g valget šokolaadi
75 g toorjuustu

Kuumuta ahi 200 kraadini. Vahusta toasoe või suhkruga. Segamist jätkates lisa kaks muna ning apelsini mahl. Teises kausis sega omavahel kuivained- jahu, nisukliid, mooniseemned, küpsetuspulber ja sool. Lisa kuivained võisegule ja sega ühtlaseks. Jaga tainas pabervormidega vooderdatud muffinipanni pesadesse ning küpseta 20 minutit. Kui muffinid on küpsed, lase neil jahtuda.

Glasuuri tegemiseks sulata valge šokolaad ja sega see toorjuustuga. Kaunista glasuuriga muffinid.
